DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY ESSENTIALS
Going on that trip you've planned all year and want to take great photos? Just had a baby? Going on a junk? Exploring Hong Kong?

No matter what event is coming up, digital photography essentials is a class for beginners looking to learn to use a digital SLR camera effectively for traveling, portraits, and other events. Students will learn key concepts, designed in a practical and easy to understand (non-technical) manner through lecture, exercises, and casual discussion. Class size is limited to keep things interactive and fun!

Topics to be covered:
1) What you see is what you take: Exposure and using manual controls.
2) How to shop and what to buy: Get the right lens and camera body to suit your needs
3) Composition: Important elements for impressive photos
4) Software: Managing and improving your photos after the fact
5) Tips and Tricks: Useful info to give your photos some spunk.

Those planning to buy their first DSLR camera will also find the workshop useful in choosing a camera and understanding how to use it.

What to Bring?

DSLR camera is recommended but not required. 
 
Fee: $650 per person for 3 hr session; $600 for advanced payment

You can rent a DSLR for $100 for the class.
